Since Detroit Tigers moved to Comerica, who's been their top player?

I think Pudge Rodriguez had a lot to do with changing the momentum, but I don't think he was the best in this era.

Negative points for anyone suggesting Higginson!

juan gon was hte first superstar the stadium saw. he sucked.

pudge was instrumental in taking the tigers from a horrible '03 season where they lost 119 to the frickin world series in '06. he was only traded last year because of an expiring contract. even now with pudge in houston and the tigers in first place in their division, it's still mainly due to do guys that came here to play with pudge. inge got moved to third because of pudge, and now he's an all star. maggs signed here after pudge and he too was huge in '06.

but their top player for copa, who pitched 5 or 6 seasons at the new stadium was also the guy who threw the last pitch at the old park

todd rollercoaster jones. he is a great fan favorite in the city. longtime tiger and great person. the tribute the team and the fans gave him last september was a true testament of how much he was loved in detroit.

i'd love to see number 59 posted in the left center wall one day. he not have always been pretty, may not have always been great, many times just plain scary, but he got the job done.

It depends if you want a position player or a pitcher. The best position player has been Magglio Ordonez if you want to go by numbers. Although he's struggling this year, he has been the best. He hits over 300, he hits 20-40 home runs, and always gets at least 100 RBIs.

The best pitcher is without a doubt Justin Verlander. He has had only one bad season and consistently puts up great numbers. 15-20 wins, ERA around 2.50-3.50, and strikeout totals around 200.

You can't be serious about Todd Jones can you? He was a great guy but a horrific closer. His offspeed pitches were batting practice fodder and his fastball went to the fence faster than it went to the plate. He always had an ERA over 4.00, and he would blow saves like water coming down in buckets. He was a great guy, but not even close to be considered average, nevermind great.

    Hope I answered your question!

whilst a business enterprise buys the naming rights of a stadium, it does so for a particular era or time, concentrated in the settlement. eliminating the call from the stadium earlier that settlement expires is a breach of settlement, and could deliver approximately an entire slew of criminal hardship for Mr Illitch. he's an somewhat sturdy businessman, and he understands greater helpful than to flow breaking contracts.
