Yes, as far as 3rd basemen in the AL go he is 2nd in home runs and I believe second in RBI's. He is also one of the slickest fielding 3rd basemen in the league. Both leagues for that matter.

The AL doesn't really have much else at third base for the first half. Brandon Inge and Evan Longoria would be the ones I would pick.

No, truthfully not. to not diss B-Inge, yet even however he's have been given greater pop in his bat than Barry Bonds, he in basic terms bats around the Mendoza line, like the 2007 season for Julio Lugo.

    uhh yea

hands down the best defensive cornerman in the game right now.

19 homers, nearly 50 rbi. his average is a touch low at like 2.60 but what he lacks at the plate he makes up for at the corner. he is much more deserving than curtis granderson who was picked as a back up.

Yes, I think so. I'm a Twins fan but have seen him play since he's in the same division. He broke Nick Blackburn's shutout last Sunday in the 9th. Blackburn pitched a complete game and almost had a complete game shutout. He's a good player. I'm glad he made it.

msi_cord: Just go ahead and forget about Michael Young... (Yes, I know he made the team, but I'd say he qualifies as a good third baseman in the AL.)

Personally, I voted for Kinsler and Sandoval. Both of whom actually deserved it a LOT more than the actual picks.

Gawd, America can be so stupid! (But I guess that explains why Bush was re-elected...)

Not in front of Kinsler, but I'd say the flying hawaiian over kung fu panda was a bit more of a bad play.

I think Kinsler deserved it, but I won't lie- I voted for Inge, only because of the Bran-Torino alliance. If it weren't for that alliance, it would have been Sandoval and Kinsler.
