How do you remember where you park your car in a huge parking lot with no signs for sections?
When you park in a large parking lot, how do you remember where you park your car, especially if there are no signs to mark off sections of the parking lot?

When you get out of your car, look at the exit you will eventually use. In your mind's eye, draw a line between that exit and your car. Then turn in the opposite direction and look for a landmark that is on a continuation of that imaginary line. That landmark is what you will head towards when you leave the mall. If it really is huge, look at the second hand on your watch when you leave the car. Look at it again when you arrive at the exit. These things will tell you in which direction to walk, and for how long.

Good question. Sometimes I have nightmares about losing my car at such a lot...wandering endlessly through the aisles looking for my nondescript little Ford, hoping that it actually is there and not the victim of some crazed person wanting a really beige ride...
Anyway, I put some stickers on my front window-one is a polar bear from a zoo membership, and on the bumper I put a couple of magnetic ribbons.
Works for me! If all else fails I could press the alarm key....

I try to remember the relation to the opening of the store. Like if the aisle I parked in is directly in front of the store, or how ever many rows down from it. Most of the time I'm lucky to find my car in the grocery store parking lot with my bad sense of direction.

I use some kind of landmark - a light pole, a wall, a stair well, something like that. And I try to park someplace obvious, at the end of a line or near the entrance to wherever I am going. Be a little creative in your thinking, its easy.

I look at what might be at the end of the parking aisle. For example, the "T" in Target, or the second light post to the right of the entrance to the store, etc. A good memory definitely helps.

Keep on using your alarm.
Remember where you came from to go inside the shopping place.
Walk up and down each section xD

Get a visual image of what the store looks like from when I first park.
Then, think of it when I leave the store.
