How is society affected by scientists?

um...your typing on one, you'll text your friends all day tomorrow on one, probably cook your food in one ion less then 5 min., fly off to florida to visit grandad in one, where he'll regale you with stories about the horrors he encountered in wwII, he'll tell you exactly where he was what he was wearing and how life had forever changed in his eyes the day he heard we dropped a bomb on Nagasaki, and the pain he felt years later when he met a young man who he found out became an orphan in the blink of an eye losing both parents that very same day, he could also tell you where he was, what he was wearing and how life had forever changed when he looked into his fathers eyes and realized they no longer held his father, dead empty eyes he only wished he could look once more into his mothers, however her face no longer held eyes or a nose, in fact it wasn't really a face at all, more of a chin, or half of a lower-jaw bone anyway, and that was all. he had known it was her however, because it was this things hand that still held his. dead empty eyes are of much more comfort to a three year old child than ground up meat and bone still clutching his now orphaned hand . wonder how it affected him? wonder how it affected granddad, us all?? wonder how it will affect those who have yet to come...war and her weapons are a mother f****r.

Without them, we would literally be in the stone age.

There are really too many things to list, but I'll name some big ones.

No cars

No plastics

No TV

No weather reports

Nothing mass produced

We would literally still be hunters and gatherers, and you can even argue the spear we would use is a scientific acheivement. We litterally would be no where without scientists.

Virtually everything you do today will be affected by scientific discoveries.

The electricity your machines use was discovered by them.

The food you eat was probably grown using techniques invented by scientists.

Your clothes contain dyes and fabrics they invented.

If you got sick, scientists created the medicine used to treat you.

The computer you typed this question on uses umpteen principles dicosvered by scientists.
