I love them all for different reasons but if I had to pick a favourite it would have to be 3...no wait... 5... ahhh. I love 3 because the Mayor was such a great villain, so smarmy, oddly pleasant and his fatherly bond with Faith was quite touching. Also cool the way the whole school gangs together to defeat him, that was a marvellous statement of "school spirit" that keeps getting raved on about in American schools but perhaps isn't really understood outside America. There was a moment were Geek and Jock stood shoulder to shoulder and that is a moment that is often dreamed about during High School (albeit without a giant snake demon trying to eat you).

Some cracking episodes too with Buffy's vulnerability and yet she still can't escape her calling (Anne) and her conflict when Angel returns. There's some cracking humour with Band Candy and the Zeppo, some clever scares in Helpless, interesting twists in The Wish, Doppelgangland and Consequences, Spike continuing down his road of showing ever more of his human side in Lover's Walk (and appealing vulnerability despite the bad boy thing hehe)... there was hardly a bum episode in this series.

But I also love episode 5 - Glory was a great villain too and although quite implausible the Knights made for a dramatic run up to the finale, the whole insanity thing was interesting and the way Joyce's death was handled was just so amazing - true and yet still in keeping with the premise of the series. It was extremely touching that Angel came back and did reinforce that he was indeed her one true love, but completely unattainable. I liked also that you get to see some of the development between Buffy and Spike, that although they are opposites they are drawn to each other and Spike's obsession does seem to be, to the best of his abilities, actual love.

I did enjoy the Trio of season 6 as there was just some plain comedy there which was wonderful and the irony of Doublemeat was brilliant, and Buffy's being torn between duty and responsibility - something we all face at one time or another - was very good to relate to. Willow's descent into dark magic addiction was quite chilling as was the culmination of Buffy's affair with Spike. Hell's Bell's was just genius. Having been in a nightmare marriage I wish I'd had Xander's guts and left with my doubts - the ex turned into a hell demon anyway lol! But of course, who can mention season 6 without mentioning "Once More with Feeling" that was just... astonishing. True to the series, the characters and utterly wonderful in every sense. We still get together for sing-a-longs of that episode *cough* sad I know lol but great fun.

Season 7 I struggled most with, although there were some brilliant episodes there too and the finale was...fitting.

Overall, I love all of Buffy but given each series, story content and character development I would still have to go with season 3 as my overall favourite Buffy season.

I really liked season 2, just because of the Buffy and Angel story. The 2 part finale makes me cry every single time I watch it!. The first season wasn't really that great because the show was just getting started. Season 3 was good because Angel was back (again, the finale was super sad), and the Faith storyline was good (OMG I love Eliza!). Season 4 was ok, but Angel was gone, only making appearances. Season 5 was a pretty good season. A lot of stuff happened, and it was a pretty deep, meaningful season. Again, the finale made me cry!! (I cried a lot....lol).

I didn't really like season 6. I thought it was just too silly. Buffy and Spike just weren't believable, it was too sexual, too dark. Nobody was really acting like themselves. My least favorite season, for sure. Season 7 was good, but sad, because we all knew it was the last. I loved how it tied everything together in the end.

    So, to rank them:

    #1 - Season 2

    #2 - Season 5

    #3 - Season 3

    #4 - Season 7

    #5 - Season 4

    #6 - Season 1

    #7 - Season 6

    :)

    What was your favorite??

I liked Season 2 the best because of the Buffy/Angel storyline and because the show got so much better after season 1, but it still hadn't exploded the way it did around season 3. The end of season 2 was just so gut-wrenching for poor Buffy. Plus I liked everyone elses storylines in that season Xander and Cordelia, Oz and Willow, Giles and the late Ms. Calender, Spike and Druscilla. Sure there were some weaker episodes but it was the best in my opinion.

i truthfully like season six with the aid of fact there is like no set monster she has to combat off, merely 3 loony adult males. I additionally like in that season how Spike and Buffy social gathering (kinda) and how Willow tries to avenge Tara's dying. My 2nd favourite season is the 1st with the aid of fact that is truly centred on her defeating the vampire grasp and stuff. that is truthfully like Buffy the Vampire Slayer, no longer Buffy the Monster Slayer like the way it variety of feels in different seasons. inspite of the undeniable fact that, i will assert i like Buffy and Angel interior the 2nd season. no longer lots else makes me like that season inspite of the undeniable fact that. i could relatively might desire to trust you that the tutor is going downhill while they depart severe college, it merely does not look a similar. on a similar time as Buffy is in severe college you additionally can see what she has to bypass with the aid of and stuff, no longer in basic terms all the slaying.

    I loved 4 and 6

4, because i loved the Buffy Riley thing before they found out about each others identity, and then the beginning of their relationship. Even though i don't like riley in general, i really liked him while i was watching it (if you know what i mean)

6 because i am totally SPUFFY and there was so little spuffy in which they were actually doing something and having a relationship like thing

I didn't really like season 1 because i started watching buffy this year, and it seemed kinda lame and with abd effects and yucky clothes back then. i also think buffy's character was really random in season 1, she didn't really sound right

    I didn't like season 2 because i didn't ever really like angel

    I didn't like season 3 because i really don't like faith

i didn't like season 5 because well, it wasn't really anything big for me

And i REALLY didn't like season 7 because the Slayers in training were so annoying, everybody kicked buffy out which was so mean (and then she just acted like nothing happened) It was way too serious, i hate Dawn too, i really like buffy, her character is like the main reason i watch that show, and it was just too serious and "OOHH we're all going to die" for me
