How to crop pictures on the computer?

I need a good, safe website that has all the tools I need to crop pictures. If there is even a safe download I can get for free that would be incredible. I just need to know that you're 100% sure that it is safe for my computer and free.

Thanks for all the help.

P.S- I just want to be able to edit my pictures. You know, basically take out the people that don't belong in the picture, take out things that got into the background, even if I could add a little banner or some words to the pictures, that would be nice too. But I really need to be positive that the download/website is safe because I've had virus trouble with websites and downloads before...

Thanks again!

The only guarantee against getting online virus' is by purchasing the product you wish to use.

If you want something free, you take risks. Trusting the site, trusting the person or webmaster who offers it and trusting the link that you get sent to.

That's an awful lot of trust and I for one don't do trust on the internet.

You would be better off adopting that same paranoia.

    Buy your programs.

You have your own editing section in Windows. Right click your photo and pick Edit. You will then go to a screen that allows you to crop, adjust colour, fix red eye etc.

Aviary has a few nice browser based image editing programs. The one you might want is called Phoenix.
