Do chick eggs hatch all in the same day?

my duck was incubating these chicken eggs, since our hen didn't want to nest. Only two eggs were put with her, amazingly one hatched and the duck loves her and cares for her not caring its a chick. But the other egg hasn't hatched yet. I held it very carefully and its pretty heavy. The duck still lays on it. So do all eggs hatch the same day or do some eggs hatch a few days later. About a day past since the other chick hatched.

To put it simply (I can't believe so many people, even people who own poultry, don't know this!) Hens will lay an egg every day from spring and they will generally leave the eggs in the same nest, the embryos in the eggs are preserved from laying until the egg is warmed, when the egg is warmed the chicken begins to develop. eggs are warmed when the hen has enough eggs the hen will go out of laying and become "broody" then she will sit on the eggs and incubate them, so they will hatch 21 days later. Humans have bred some chickens that will go broody less often and will therefore produce more eggs, particularly if the egg is removed every day.

most of the time they hatch in the same day, or in all the cases I saw.

Sure, as all babies are not born on the exact due date, either. Good luck.

No they need time to incubate.
