Will I be taxed if I bring my desktop PC and Monitor to Malaysia?

I'm traveling to Malaysia for a few months. I want to bring my desktop PC along with me, but some Malaysian friends tell me that it might be taxed if I bring it in.

Does anyone know, if I'm bringing a self-assembled, used desktop (not notebook) PC and Monitor into Malaysia, will I get hit with tariffs, taxes, etc? None of the parts are new, all purchased in China (where I live currently and where I'm traveling from).

FYI I'm from the USA, not Malaysian or Chinese.

Nah. Theres no tax on a used PC, as the others have said. As long as you declare it upon entry. But you may want to consider the logic of bringing a PC through baggage. The throwing and shoving could most probably cause instability or even just damage the drives. Why dont you get a notebook and carry it in by hand. I hear those things are real cheap in China.

Custom officers don't care law or not law, you bring in a deck top with a monitor, you may sell it away (that is what they always say so). Don't pay, they delay you, let you hang around the custom area pretending they are very busy no time to take care of you. Once you pay up the coffee money, they put into the cashier machine but not receipt and you are free to go! An experience I will never forget when I brought along a portable CD-radio player at the international airport.

My guess is your video card went kaput. in simple terms by using fact the fan's spinning does no longer mean that is outputting information. perhaps your psu desperate to get vulnerable on you too, there would desire to be a voltage turn on the decrease back someplace, attempt switching it. or you are able to unplug your optical stress for a short on the same time as, those take in a large form of ability. So perhaps bypass out and purchase a clean vid card, your 7900gs is quite previous now besides.
