Whats your favorite breed of horse?

i gotta say Missouri fox trotters. hands down. mainly because i like riding long distance (12-30 miles) a fox trotter has that Amazing smooth gate and the speed to eat up the miles.

next is Tennessee walking horses. also gaited, with personalities like fuzzy puppies.

I like thoroughbreds too. I love the energy they have, plus they aren't spooky like everyone thinks. Once a horse has been on the track, it's seen everything... my TB hasn't spooked in about 2 years, and last time she spooked she kept me and my safety in mind, she didn't hop around at all just stood there staring.

Plus, I find it much easier to slow a horse down than speed a horse up.

And I also love the elegance of the thoroughbred. They are the most stately horses, in my opinion. Very refined and elegant without being too flashy.

They also tend to do well in my discipline of choice, hunters.

Quarter Horses

My favorite breed used to be Appaloosa, but I now love Haflingers...they aren't the most graceful sometimes, but are absolutely gorgeous with their blond manes and tales and beautiful Arab-looking faces...my Haflinger's tail is down to the ground and her mane is the longest I've ever seen on a horse...she can be stubborn but would not hurt a fly, and is very kind to all the other animals at the farm

It's a tie between Arabians and Quarter Horses. Arabians because they are so beautiful and are really great horses. Quarter Horses because they are really pretty and can do basically anything you ask of them.

Quarter Horses are where my heart is at. :) but I love all horses really no matter what breed <3

Standardbreds!

They are extremely versatile, from dressage to trails, western pleasure to barrells. They come in many colors also. They are not a well known breed but they should be because they are so level headed, eager to learn, love their work, and are easy to break! Plus you can rescue one from the track, and they rarely need time to :"decompress"

Arabians, no question! I additionally like TBs, and that i might prefer to have one sometime. Friesians are somewhat neat too. and that i've got pushed (in a cart) a Haflinger named Polly and a gray Shire/paint go named Magic. Then of direction, i like my appy/arab who's at times a handful. : )

Although I love my Mustang and Tennessee Walker my all time favorite breed would have to be a Norwegian Fjord because I love their teddy bear faces!

i love akhal tekes

but i grown up with arabs, so my second is arabian

but i do love thoroughbreds, they are soooo freakin fun. like arabs

but akhal tekes don't have a lot of hair so arabs tie cuz i like something to hild on to when i gallop bareback.... you know haha

and i like that thoroughbreds can come really big, i love tall horses, and arabians aren't that tall, and akhal tekes renge 14-16 (Rarely) 17 hands
