My mate is a fat sweaty bastard. How do you get rid of sweat marks on fabrics i.e. upholstery?

Are these just salt stains or greasy skin rub marks? if it's just salt, a vinegar and water based solution should lessen the impact. If it's oily sweat, you may need to resort to a proprietory upholstery cleaner foam like 1001 or vanish. These are sprayed on, worked in to the stain then either wiped or vaccuumed off.

I suggest you get you mate to help as it's his oily sweat that caused the stains, oh and get some big old towels or fleece blankets off e-bay to cover up your suite next time he's around - he'll soon get the message.

Get wipe clean furniture.

put him in a dustbin bag at the door before you allow him in the house

clean with upholstery shampoo then protect with covers like sofa throw which can be washed

Eeeewwww! I don't know but I would start putting furniture covers on when I know he's coming over.

You chuck him out and tell him to give you a call when he's lost a few stone.
