Word meaning two meanings?
I am having trouble thinking of a word that has a definition which is: two meanings, or something associated with a double meaning.
E. g. A metaphor's idea is _________. It has a nonsensical denotation and a understandable figurative meaning.
E. g. Othello's ______ characteristics lead him to his death but also make him who he is.
Thanks for the help in advance

Compound, or twinned?
E. g. Othello's ______ characteristics lead him to his death but also make him who he is.
Antagonistic, complex, warring, competing, contrasting, contradictory? I actually haven't met Othello, so I don't know whether these actually fit his character. Guess I should go read him... :-)

Un homonyme. Un canon = a cannon, a gun (poudre à canon = gunpowder) Un canon = a canon, a rule (or an order, of the Mass, and so on.) “Un canon” and “un canon” are “homonymes” (English: homonyms) A double entendre is an expression derived from French yet no longer a French expression. It litterally ability “double pay attention”. that's like whilst somebody say something whether it might desire to intend 2 countless issues: one factor (an harmless one) and yet another factor (oftentimes on a sexual point). Like “could you to return up and notice the wonderful view from my place of abode?” the different individual might desire to basically have an interest interior the view or get the double entendre and choose for it...

A word which has two meanings is a double entendre or homograph , ie a word that is spelt the same with different meanings.
If you want to fill the blanks in your specific examples then I'm unsure.
