what are some good tv shows out there?
Alright so I like a show that has a continuous storyline, are equipped with a bit of complexity, suspense and uniqueness. Also I'm looking for show's that don't follow "average" people in everyday situations whether it be a comedy or drama. I like show's that are set outside of the norm if. Here are some examples shows I like to watch: Dexter (my favorite), Lost, Heroes and True Blood.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Catch Fringe if you like shows with a cool supernatural edge to it.
Rescue Me is awesome. It is more along the everyday situations, but taking place around the FDNY Firehouse, so maybe not so everyday.
Chuck has become one of my favorite shows as well. An everyday guy who gets a supercomputer in his head and goes on spy missions.
Alias it great and is one of JJ Abrams early successes. Cool spy action, plus a supernatural element to it.
Smallville is great. Superhero show, going through the origins. I think there have been some great storylines there.
Dollhouse was very interesting and I am looking forward to season 2.
Just a few thoughts to get you started. Hope this helps.

Well, most of the shows I watch follow people every day.
Grey's Anatomy is about doctors and their lives, but they also have a handful of patients in every show making each different and unique.
Same with Six Feet Under (only instead of patients they're people who died). It also has an actor that's in Dexter -- it's something to check out.
Desperate Housewives is on a very everyday basis, but it's got a lot of mystery and suspense.
Law and Order: SVU also focuses on one case for each show making it different.
In Treatment is good too, but it's pretty much a follow up on people every week.
I like True Blood too, but since every show is different it's hard to find matches sometimes.

The ones named already are all good suggestions. If you have never seen Twin Peaks, catch it on fancast.com. It's one of the most bizarre series ever made, and one of my all time favorites. It's definitely got the weird factor! Great show from the twisted mind of David Lynch.

i would suggest watching buffy the vampire slayer because everyone i know who has watched true blood has enjoyed it and vice versa. plus if you like it there was a show called angel that played off it.
if youre looking for shows still on the air i would suggest
doctor shows- house, mental
crime- bones, the listener(not really crime but a telepathic guy helps solve crimes)
