Why does my Wii Remote not work?

My remote has worked fine up until now. I have tried everything to make it work again. What happens is if I point it towards the screen, the hand comes up but it jumps around even if I hold the remote perfectly still. If you can give me an answer it will be a big help as my kids are complaining.

The Wii remote jumps around on the screen if the sun intercepts the Wii sensor bar and the Wii remote. You can try re- syncing the Wii remote by pressing the red button inside the Wii remote battery part and the red button on the Wii inside the SD cart protector.

Clean the sensor bar on the tv and also at the end of the remote. I've had the same problem and this sorted it out. Grime and dirt can build up on these surfaces really easily as they are highly refelctive.

Any basic cleaning fluid should work or just use good old fashioned elbow grease.

Go to the options at the bottom left hand part of the wii menu and go system settings and then to the sensor bar, it should explain from there on out.
