What are some good remedies for heartbreak?

Yesterday I broke up with my beloved significant other. Needless to say, my heart is broken. What are your suggestions for good ways I can distract myself or ease the pain?

    Well, I'm in the same boat as you. I just broke up with my boyfriend a few days ago.

    I'm still not completely over it, but I can tell you with each day, its getting easier. I've been talking to A LOT of people about everything, getting their input, advice, venting, and just hearing some of their experiences has helped.

    I know that I still need some more time to get through this, but just keeping your head held up, and know that there is a brighter side and know that you WILL get through this helps. Know that you are a good person, and that there was a reason why you broke up with them in the first place.

    Do NOT blame yourself, or think of the 'what-ifs', it only makes things worse...

    Just give it some time.

    Well.. first of all, I'm sorry to hear your troubles. I think most of us can relate.

    My advice.. If you need to cry, get it out. When I got out of my last relationship.. I purposely watching and listened to things that would make me cry. After awhile, it was out of my system and I could move past that stage. Abeit, with a few tears left over here an there.

    Try doing things you enjoy. Chocolate. Movies. Shopping. Reading. Whatever you like to do. Keep your mind occupied and with time things will get better. Good luck!

    (i have done this) If he did YOU wrong go look in the mirror at all the best parts of you and what he is missing out on. After that Cuss for however long you want to at the mirror like your cussing at him. I feel SO much better After. ORRRR you could pick out some movies and you and your girl friends could just laugh it off. WHO NEEDS BOYS! lol ( ok i do) but dont think bout em

    One thing we do and dont realize it is use music. Every break up I have had I can remember a song that made me feel sad and get it out or realize I was worth more. Music is universal medicine.

    go out with your friends! meet new people, and think about all the awesome things about you that he/she will miss! you can even cry too, that works. and don't forget the reason you broke up with them; second- guessing yourself will only make you miserable.

    you can chat with me.. i help everyone.. and then i know its not that easy to get out of that pain... but u can never do anything without trying.,.!!
