Total Eclipse of the Heart, turn around bright-eyes? What's the meaning of the music video?

Hey, I have a few questions about Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart." I recently watched the music video on YouTube, and quite frankly it confused the s**t out of me. By the lyrics, I assumed that it was a love song. But the music video was weird as hell. From what I can tell, she's someone important at a private school, and the kids...kind of start going f**king nuts. What's with the repeated line "Turn around bright eyes"? And the two possessed kids saying that at the end? And the little kid at the end who looks like he's about seven? And people throwing doves at her? And that guy with no shirt doing an upside-down cartwheel? And the kid with gold dust in his fencing mask? And the preppies ripping their dinner apart? And the ninjas? And the swim team just standing there? And the possessed choir, with the kid flying at her? Why is everyone possessed and weird, and why are they just following her? Why is she even at a private school at like one in the morning? Is there any background someone could give me about this? Anything at all? I'd REALLY appreciate it if you could help me out with these questions. It bugs the hell out of me when I don't understand something like this! xD And I can't find anything else anywhere, so...thanks lol! :)
