PMS Sleeping problems?

I know it sounds crazy but, for the past 3 months or so I have noticed that I can't sleep while I am PMS'ing! I might get 2 - 4 hours (if I am lucky) a night for a week before my cycle starts! Its very difficult with the added fatigue! has anyone ever had this happen to them? what can I do to stop it besides taking sleeping meds? BTW i am on BC pills (have been for about 5 years) someone said something about it being my hormones, could that have anything to do with it?
