I think you should call her. She's probably waiting for you to call. She's probably nervous to call you, so you should call her. What the heck, it you're going to a new school, try to make friends the fastest you can. It's the best thing to do.

okay From experience I really wouldn't. I got in to a private school on semi-scholarship once. Private schoolkids can be really a lot worse than public. wait till u get there and see if you see her otherwise she could turn out nasty and tell every1 that you are a stalker when you start.

I think the whole point of the directory is that you two can contact each other. Sure, it's a but awkward but it's worth it to have somebody you know when you go to the new school. Go for it!

I wouldn't mind because if I was new to the school as well as the other person I'd want to get to know someone.

I wouldn't be happy if the person phoned me everyday because I'd become slightly concerned.
