Another campaign promise broken by Obama?
House democrats are planning on raising taxes on anyone making over $350K a year to levels not seen in almost 3 decades. Didn't Obama promise NOT to raise taxes above what they paid in the 90s?
For the liberals, since you won't accept links from "conservative sources" I found this buried deep on MSNBC.

Why should this surprise anyone. How on earth could he pay for all the socialist programs without raising taxes on all of us. The first step will be when the Bush tax cuts expire next year and suddenly we are all paying 14% more.
John Gibson- You arewrong buddy, Obama did promise not to raise anyone's taxes above what they were paying tin the 90s. See paragraph 3.

No.
During the campaign, he promised record single-year rate increases across ALL tax brackets. He also literally called doing THAT a "tax-cut."
Source(s): Obama PUBLISHED his tax plan on his campaign website. - Anonymous1 decade ago
Don't you just love how these posters like this mope John Gibson make the statement "pay your fair share"?
I guess one day when or if John ever does pay taxes and stops living off entitlements he'll have a better understanding of why we wish to stop the bleeding.

Maybe, I don't recall this promise. If you can reference a quote, I'd agree with you, and he'd lose personal credibility. Usually when I ask for a source, I just get a bunch of thumbs down, but whatever - it's a chance to change my mind.

Most every promise "ole blue lips" made he has broken so nothing should shock us

This is not a broken promise, he never said he wouldn't tax the rich. I believe he drew the line at $250k a year, anything over that is fair game and is not a broken promise.

Are you surprised? He's a politician. They are incapable of telling the truth. You bought all his bullshit and now you're wondering why you're broke.
