"I can understand people being disappointed with A-Rod and Manny," Pujols says of the New York Yankees' Alex Rodriguez and the Los Angeles Dodgers' Manny Ramirez, who have been ensnared in performance-enhancing drug controversies this year. "But just because Manny made a mistake, now I have to pay? Just because A-Rod made a mistake, now I have to pay? Oh, guilt by association? That's wrong.

I would never do any of that crap. You think I'm going to ruin my relationship with God just because I want to get better in this game? You think I'm going to ruin everything because of steroids?

Pujols, 29, says he was tested six times last year as part of MLB's drug policy. But if that's not good enough, Pujols vows to take a test every day and, if he is caught using performance-enhancing drugs, he says, he will pay back the Cardinals every penny he has earned.

Come test me every day if you want, says Pujols, who has the most home runs at the All-Star break since Barry Bonds hit 39 and Luis Gonzalez hit 35 in 2001. "Everything I ever made in this game I would give back to the Cardinals if I got caught."

No. i'm hoping he would not use them, yet i would not be shocked if he did. enable me placed it this way: If Alex Sanchez could have executed steroids, every physique could have executed steroids. so some distance as i'm in touch there isn't any reason to have faith that the steroid consumers in baseball are the minority. And multiple the justifications human beings have for questioning that he's sparkling are form of retarded. basically in view which you like him extra as a man or woman than A-Rod and Clemens does no longer mean he did no longer use steroids/PEDs. And steroid technologies has replaced lots even because of the fact the days of Barry Bonds and Jose Canseco. It became into obtrusive that adult adult males like Canseco, Bonds and McGwire have been juicing because of the fact their bodies replaced lots. yet once you look at adult adult males like A-Rod and Clemens, their bodies did no longer particularly look that exaggerated. They surely won mass over the years, yet no longer something which could no longer be attributed to a strenuous weight guidance recurring. yet i'm hoping they're real. as low as I care approximately steroids, it is so annoying to ought to deal with steroids whilst analyzing a participant's occupation. it would be advantageous to look at a checklist or accomplishment with out having to take heed to the media all communicate approximately it would be tainted.

Of course he has been, every player is tested for steroids, and the good ones are tested multiple times a year.

Probably not. I think he and David Ortiz are/were on some type of steroid or human growth hormone. Also, some people criticize some players for taking steroids. Steroids aren't the ONLY drugs banned from MLB. There are other substances that don't even strengthen a player, but are still illegal.

That speech sounded very similar to what Clemens and Palmeiro were saying before they were pinched. So, cue ESPN with breaking news that Albert Pujols is one of the 103 players who tested positive. Because they seem to relish the idea of releasing the names one by one, and they make sure the name is that of a superstar. Pujols speech seemed like a hollow attempt to deflect suspicion to me. I hope to god he is clean, but I highly doubt it.

he's clean. the difference between pujols and clemens or palmeiro is that pujols actually passed his drug tests.

  • 1 decade ago

He has been tested, and he has passed every time. Plain and simple.

If you don't think he's been tested, then you're simply not paying attention.
