Why does engine stall on warmup? Runs fine after?

car is a 95 z24 cavalier w/ 2.4 motor. Replaced Coolant temp,air temp,iac,tps,fuel filter,cam pos,crank pos, icm. both coils, fuel pump, fuel press regulator, injectors, map sen., plugs & boots, even knock sen. All vacuum lines correct,no leaks,fuel lines ok,No codes thrown. big headache

    When you first start up the vehicle, do you notice a quick black puff of smoke? If so, the piston rings are worn. After the vehicle warms up and the piston rings expanded, it run fines. Mine did the same thing and I dumped it before I had to do some serious work

    my WAG is 1 low compression..may b rings r not sealing untill piston expands when hot...

    2 same with valves...

    how many miles ?/over 150K???
