Do we wear underwears under spankies while cheerleading?

please ignore all of the people that have answered.

from what i've read, they're all completely wrong.

i've been cheering 12 years. and YES...you wear underwear.

go to the store and buy some thongs so that your panty lines dont show through your bloomers (aka spankies). and DEFINITELY wear bloomers even when you are practicing in soffee shorts; when you do jumps and stunts, nobody wants to see what you've got going on.

bloomers are NOT an underwear substitute.

If your practicing, Then you can wear spankies but its really uncomfotable. Because you have to keep pulling them down. Just wear some Soffe Shorts, ( Everyone wears those ) And panies with them! Lol.

But if you are going to compete then YES! Every team wears spankies, your team should have that with their uniform. And yes wear panies!

I think the part that bothers me the most about this, is not that the girl was exposed, but how the adults in the situation are handling it. The year book advisor should have caught it, but didn't. So there is an error on his or her part. But really what are these parents teaching this girl? When things are embarrassing or hard run away and lock your self in your room. Speaking as someone who marched in a parade in white shorts when I REALLY shouldn't have and paid the consequences we all learn to either handle embarrassing situations gracefully or we learn to hid from the hard things in life. While this is sad this happened, it is more sad that her parents are not helping her learn to to deal with difficult situations by facing them head on. Instead, you file a complaint and don't go back to school and make something a bigger deal and even more embarrassing than it was before. Sad really, very sad.

I wear underwear under my spankies during competitions, and during practice, I wear Soffe shorts and compression shorts (with underwear underneath).

yes! my coach says that "spankies ARE underwear so make sure something is always over them and spakies are NOT underwear so make sure you wear some udnerneath!" sometimes if you are flying and you lift your leg your spankies can not fully cover your private parts and so you flash the whole crowd! a few girls on my team have done that before

some people wear under wear with them some just put the spankies on ask I can see when they jump
