should i have an outdoor wedding or indoor wedding?

i hate the outdoors but i think being outdoors in the sun hearing the birds sing will sum up how special and bright my day will be,but an indoor wedding will keep me away from all the bugs, what should i do?

I would say an Outdoor Wedding is what you should be going for. More special in my opinion. Congrats to you.

We are having our ceremony outdoors and reception indoors. Having it outdoors in a garden or at a beach eliminates the need for decorating because the surroundings are naturally beautiful and peaceful. I also like the idea of hearing the birds and the sounds of nature (waves crashing on the shore at the beach, etc). You should have your wedding wherever you feel most comfortable. Where I live, there aren't many bugs out during the day in open spaces, and the bugs only get bad in the evening. So an afternoon ceremony would be safe from the problem of bugs. However, if you were to have an outdoor reception, bugs would probably be an issue.

With outdoor weddings there is also the need to make a "backup plan" in case of bad weather. If you choose to do it outdoors, just be sure to have a back up venue or a tent in case of rain.

    Indoors!

I just went to a beautiful resort wedding a couple of weeks ago that was a ceremony on the wonderful beach and cocktails on the outdoor deck ... except it rained the entire day!

So 45 minutes before the wedding we asked the groom and he still didn't know where the wedding would be (indoors or outside). Talk about last minute stress. That is not something I would want to have to worry about on my wedding day!

The wedding ended up being inside, in an undecorated, dim ballroom. Since they were planing to have a beach wedding, they didn't have any ceremony decorations, because the beach was the decor. So the indoor ceremony pictures turned out pretty dull.

Honestly, save yourself the stress and last minute (literally LAST minute) decisions and plan an indoor wedding. You can't ever guarantee perfect weather or no bugs, or no sunburns when you are outside.

After all the planning and money spent, I would hate for some rain to ruin all that! If it's a beautiful day you can still capture it all with some outdoor wedding photos. Planning an outdoor ceremony means planning TWO. You plan what you want and then you plan the back-up. That's just too many unknowns and final decisions on the actual wedding day, in my opinion.

    Best Wishes!

An outdoor wedding is pretty but you never know what the weather is going to be. I think indoor weddings are the way to go. You don't have the stress of setting it up the day of the wedding because you can do it at least a day ahead. If it is outside it may rain and get everyone wet or windy and blow everything over and mess up your hair. If it is to hot you will be sweaty and the guest will be miserable or to cold for some. I think you would be wise to just plan it inside. If you do decide to do an outdoor wedding maybe you could put in the announcement weather permitting and will be moved to whatever location if bad weather.

here are some things you need to think about when doing an out door wedding.

cost of all the rentals, chairs, tables for your candles or what ever, runner (some places don't let you use a runner outside), the additional things that would be included indoors are the things you will have to rent.

Is the weather the time of year your wanting to do going to hold up or will you have rain, will it be too hot for elderly guests?

Will you be upset if your dress gets dirty from being outside?

What shoes will you wear (a big question if you wear some heels you will sink into the ground)

Think about the bugs. All those things will help you determine whether you want to do an out door.

have it indoors. An outdoor wedding requires two plans: one for the outdoor wedding, and a backup plan for bad weather. Outdoors in the sun can be pretty miserable anyway!

If you hate the outdoors, then have an indoor wedding - you can use natural lighting to let the sun in.

If you hate the outdoors now, then sweetie you're going to hate it even more on your wedding day! That day is stressful enough dont add on more stress with all the worst case scenerios that come with outdoor weddings! Congrats on the wedding, STAY INDSIDE! :)

You can have the most beautiful outside place in the world...BUT, What if it rains or is windy.?!!? What if it is really hot or too cool for people to be comfortable? I don't think I'd take a chance unless you choose a place that has a beautiful area outside that can easily accommodate you inside if the weather does not cooperate.

  • well she how the weather is before you choose i think an in door wedding would be better because you wouldn't have to have a back up plan for bad weather an out door would be nice but you would spend more money for the back up and your hair might frizz up but i think you should choose with you and your husband on one cored ! just be happy and have fun
