What is some good classical music?
I have always loved the classics but there aren't really any words to guess a title from you know. So what are some good classical composers or songs that I could look up. The more songs the better, as of now my play list is mainly hip hop, rap, alternative, and country. :S I love everything so variety is good too.
Hey, to the second guy. I know you just coppied and pasted that from somewhere else and it's not your opinion. It's still in ABC order :P, nice try though

Christ, use the search function next time. This question or some variation has been asked about eight thousand times on this board. Here are the search results for "good classical music."

Here's another idea, though. Next time you're at a record store or Borders or something, go to the classical music CD section and choose randomly a CD to buy. You can find many great things this way.

Beethoven: Seventh Symphony, Moonlight Sonata, Fur Elise, Pathetique Sonata
Mozart: Alla Turca, Eine KLEIN Nachtmusik, Sonata 15
Rochmaninov: Prelude in G
Chopin: Fantasy Impromptu
Pachabel: Canon in D
Tchaikovsky: 1812 Overture, Sleeping Beauty Waltz, Nutcracker Suite (particularly pas de deux, and the dances)
It depends what your after.
There are three different eras of "classical" music:
baroque, classical, and romantic.
Baroque came first and is more structured and ornamented. This includes composers like: Bach, Vivaldi, and Handel.
Classical came next and is still structured and ornamented, but a little less so. Classical era composers include Mozart, Haydn, and Beethoven.
Romantic was the last, and is more emotional. Examples are Chopin, Rochmaninov, Tchaikovsky, and Shubert.
Personally, I prefer classical and romantic. Beethoven is my favorite composer. He was a late classical era composer, some people consider a romantic composer.

Listen to these, they are all amazing. The first time you listen, you may not like them, but listen to them anyways, I really like these recordings. And some of them correspond to the composers that I had below, but I put the links up here.

well it depends no your tastes and your mood, for example if you like opera but you are a beginner in opera you should listen to Italian Operas, like Puccini (Specially La Boheme, its the all-time most performed opera) or Verdi , or if you know a little Opera try Wagner specially Tristan Und Isolde, if you want piano music but you are not into it yet, try beethoven more known sonatas, like the 8 pathetique, sonata 14 "moonlight", or try schubert, for symphonies i would recommend mostly Beethoven, Mozart and Brahms, any of their symphonies, betthoven most famous are his 9th symphony who a lot of people think it is the greatest piece of music ever composed (included me), and the fifth one, try the 3rd movement from the 3rd symphony by Brahms you will love it, and pretty much of their work, Beethoven, Mozart, Bach, ohh and i was forgetting for violin concertos try Tachaikovsky´s Violin Concerto in D Major and also Brahms Violin Concerto in D Major, and listen to pretty much everything by them they are good composers to get into classical music
