My micro dermal; help piercers?
My microdermal was red since Monday & yesterday i went to my piercer. He told me it was irritated, he cleaned it, he put some pressure to make sure nothing nasty came out (nothing did).
He told me that i should just compress it with warm water with or with out sea salt.
i asked him if my body was rejecting it or if it was infected he said no.
i think im being paranoid but i need your opinions, please and thank you
*it does not hurt, its just red and a little bumpy*
the last thing i want to do is get it removed! ;(
Ive had it for 1 and a half.
Nope i havent been around dirt or anything like that; but i play soccer & i wash my hands before/after eating, when i take the trash out, etc
ONE MONTH AND A half.
p.s. im very stubborn too >.<

Hey love, I just got your message.
Since your hands are used so much, and get alot of bacteria and whatnot on them, the rejection rate is really high.
They look as if they are rejecting judging by the photos, and once a piercing begins to reject you cannot stop it.
It may also just be irriated, which is something you HAVE to expect when you get a piercing on your hand/finger.
I'd just wait another month or six to eight weeks if I were you, if your body pushes it out anymore I'd think about getting it taken out, which is probably the last thing you want to do.
If it isn't rejecting, then it should all be good by then.
Microdermals reduce the rate of rejection alot, that's not to say that the WONT reject.
I'd blame the rejection, not on your body or the piercing but mainly just on the placement of the piercing itself.
Hands and fingers and whatnot are really tricky piercings to heal.
Imagine if you got pierced with a standard bar though, it'd reject within a week for you.

Micro dermals on your hands have a high rejection rate due to the amount of bacteria they potentially come into contact with.
If your piercer has seen them in person like you said, he's most likely right.
It doesn't look like rejection, it looks like it's just irritated like he said.
How long have you had it? Have you done anything new lately? Been using your hands around dirty things (like dirt, not like promiscuous)?
---EDIT
Then I'd definitely just say it's irritated. Having a microdermal in a place like that it'd bound to get irritated during the healing process. If it starts crusting up a bunch and "pussing" or whatever definitely go back to your piercer. I'd say for now just consistantly clean it.
Good luckkkk!!
[I want a microdermal on my chest so baaadly]

Im not a piercer but maybe your body is just getting used to the changes. If it doesnt hurt and is not infected theres nothing to worry about. =) just try not to put alot of pressure on it or lay on it. Wait is that on your finger? Lol

well that isn't the best place to put a microdermal in the first place. it could be rejecting. it looks like an irritated blur/
