How much would it cost to build a sturdy Loft Bed?
I'm in a cramped room and I'm looking to build a loft bed. I'm a big guy (6 foot 1 inch and about 200) so I want it sturdy. How much would lumber cost me? I have everything else at home (hammer, screws, power drill, saw, etc. tools in general). I've been seeing loft beds for $500 average... and the ones below 300 looks like they're going to break with me on it. I understand that it depends on the height and everything, but I'm just looking for an estimate of how much it would cost me. Help please?
Can you also tell me the pricing for a twin and full size mattress?

you can build a very sturdy bed from construction lumber. total cost should be around $150. plans can be found online, but i prefer going to the library and checking out a book. plans are fine but books come with plans and explanations on how to assemble and in what order to to things.
