I recommend you hit upon an area builder and have him supply you a quote. I recommend a Q6600 quad cpu via fact the quads often is the cpu to have whilst the multi-threaded video games are considerable circulate, an 8800GTX video card with a 520 watt Corsair PSU. Use a board with a PCI-E2 pictures slot for extra desirable overall performance and four GBs of quickly XMS ram in case you may discover the money for it. do no longer even think of approximately putting XP in via fact XP and previous DirectX 9 is yesterdays information in gaming. each and every of the gaming puters I build have Vista and a huge DX10 card. If it overshoots your budget use a 512MB 8800GT and/or 2 GBs of ram. you may constantly upload extra ram later. video games are dependant on a million--video card 2--ram 3--cpu in that order and as long as you're good in those departments your rig will game surprising. Raptors difficult drives are surprising too yet that ought to place you over budget in all threat. 15-1700 looks like a brilliant style of money yet you may devour it up quickly construction a real gaming rig.

well im just warining you in all my expereince, E machines is a very very bad brand with break in a month quality and horrible customer support.
for learning games any new computers are gonna be able to play it. any processor that dual core 2ghz or higher will easily do it and if you find one of the mini desktops with an intel atom, that could play it to. just make sure it has at least 1 or 2 gigs of ram.

this would play there games easily and its 380$
that 300$ e machine could play there games to, but e machine is a much worse brand.

for what you (and your girls) want to do on the computer an E-Machine at walmart is a very good bargain. the Athlon is a very good and dependable CPU. also you don't have to buy the monitors with the pc. if walmart won't sell the pc without the monitor you can check other cheap places also like staples, office max or office depot, they also have inexpensive pc's.

you can get a Compaq for $350, refurbished and it's good since you just want their little pc games in it. Average brand new computer cost is around $600. If you have Frys Electronics near you, call them.
