at first i installed a software then comes a blue screen. After a reboot, a drive partition is missing which is D: ..
Then , i went to disk manager and accidentally set the missing partition as active.. then my laptop cant boot because the boot manager is missing.. pls help

You should be able to fix this if you have your Windows install discs.
I am assuming you are running Windows Vista, but XP is similar. You have to run the repair tool on the install disc, and it should restore your boot loader.

Will your computer boot in safe mode (F8)? If so, you'll have access to the disk manager.
If not, you'll have to send it in for rebuild. You'll lose all of your software and data. They don't back up your HD when they do repairs.
