What reasonably priced durable digital camera should I buy?

I've been through 3 expensive cameras. I need something a bit more durable. Any specific models or links would be appreciated. No spam please. I would like to keep the price pretty low.

Update:

Durability is the most important, not just looking for a good camera. I want one that can still work if it gets dropped.

Update 2:

Update 3:

I would like one under $200.

Update 4:

Vintage, I'm asking for camera suggestions. That's it.

If durability is the most important I would suggest Canon D10.

Waterproof to 33 feet, cold resistant from 14-104 degrees (F) and shockproof up to 4 feet

or good with cheaper one Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1 10MP with 12x Wide Angle MEGA Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7 inch LCD

I find there are two kinds of tripod: too big and too small. You can't cut the legs off a big one, but you can put a small one on something else, like a table, a rock, or a stump. So I have a tiny tabletop tripod that cost me $30 and I just perch it on things. Does it fit in my backpack? It fits in my *pocket*. Just my 2 pesos. >>> Just thought of something: you may have seen those flexible Gorillapods -- the ones with bendy legs. I tried one and I found it much too wobbly. I had to use a high shutter speed because the camera waggled in the wind -- sort of defeats the purpose. YMMV -- go look at one anyway.

There may not be any. Stop being careless with cameras. You can't continue to drop them.
