Does my dog get along better with humans?

I have this labrador/golden retriever girl who has three wonderful other dogs to hang out with and play with. She does play with them for a while but usually walks off and sits beside our front door or backdoor depending where we are in the house. Our rottweiler tends to try to lay next to her to keep her company but she moves off. When we come out she happily follows us and stays close and next to us. We love her so much but wonder why she's like that.

I have a golden retriever lab my self and he is the same way.. he loves to follow me or any or my family members around but he doesn't really like being around other dogs it seems that he prefers the company of humans over the company of dogs.

Golden retrievers are VERY people oriented. They live to be loyal to their humans. They enjoy the company of other dogs, but from my golden retriever experience, they'd much rather go for a walk with their human or cozy up on the couch.

Golden retrievers LOVES kids and human beings. Even if a kid pokes a golden retriever all day long, that dog would still be happily wagging his/her tail.
