What would happen to my swing, If I ......?
Golf posture and stance is important as a good fundamental. But, watching the American century golf championship, i noticed that tall athletes such as Jordan and big Ben, they bend a bit from the waist.I am not tall about 5'11", what would happen to my swing and ball flight if i bend from the waist a little bit like they are.. THanks.

Normally you would bend forward from the hips anyway.
If you were to bend more it would mean that your swing would become more vertical which would create a steeper angle of attack. This would cause a higher ball flight as well.
Bending more would work better for iron shots than the longer woods which require a swing that is more flat.
Experiment with it on the range or a practice round sometime.

You would need much shorter clubs, with dramatically different lie angles. Not recommended. Both Big Ben and MJ are around 6'6", so they either: a) can't get clubs long enough (not from lack of funds, though); b) can make a free-wheeling swing from that position; or c) both.
You want some natural waist bend, with your weight on the balls of your feet- kind of how a MLB sets up over the QB. But not a lot.

If you are making solid contact right now, I wouldn't change a thing. I tried the same change in posture and it was a big disaster. It just lead to a lot of fat shots, and more adjustments due to the change in swing plane. The very tall players do this because they have to, not because they want to. There's no sense in fixing something that's not broken.

Well, your swing would remain the same, but you would get some hard left to right ball flight (thing strong fade). They bend from their waste because they have to, and I'd imagine that their clubs are 3+ degrees upright.
