Second Life Home removal?

I've been playing Second Life for a while now but only got my home today. I'll be straight to the point; if I built my home on property that isn't mine, will it be removed? My home is in the air if that changes anything.

It's just that a got a lot of cool things and put them in my house, but I'm afraid everything I bought and/or my home will be deleted.

The owner of the parcel can't delete your objects. They can only return them to you. In that case, you will find them in your "lost and found" folder in your inventory as a coalesced object (the icon will be a cluster of cubes).

Sometimes items are lost when they are returned as a group like that. So, you do risk the loss of your "cool things".

I'll be straight to the point myself. You should politely remove your items from the parcel you are squatting on. I very much doubt that your offense will get you in trouble with Linden Labs. The owner might AR you. He or she may send you a not so friendly message and ban you from their parcel. It has nothing to do with being "nice" or being "cranky". It has to do with the fact that the parcel owner is the one paying for the privileges to build on that land, not you. You are using resources that cost money. You are stealing those resources from another person.

Land is very inexpensive at the moment. I suggest that you purchase your own parcel or find one to rent. You can also ask your friends about putting your house up on their parcels. I have hosted several friends' homes over the years when I've had the space and prims to spare. But, that has always been by agreement between me and my friends. Never once has a squatter been allowed to stay and that isn't because I'm grouchy.

If you do the right thing consistently, you might very well find a friend who will host your home. Not many of us are willing to host a person who is more concerned with their objects being deleted rather than whether or not they should be squatting.

yes your property will be removed by the owner if you build it on another's land. the land tab can show your name and the number of prims you put there and an auto-return will do the job in a second. you will get them back in your lost and found folder.

If you have things you wanna display, just get a bigger land with more prims, everyone is paying for the prims in sl, not the land anyway. And such things can get yr av reported and account frozen.

When and if the owner of the land discovers your house there, they may return it and it's contents to you...if they're nice, they may contact you first to make sure you've linked everything together (do this now) so it'll be easier for you to rebuild elsewhere. And if they're really, really nice, they may let you stay. If they're cranky, they may report you and SL may suspend your account. In any event, they can't just delete your house and it's contents. They may return it and it'll end up in your inventory's Lost and Found folder.
