Dear Persians , Can anything change your mind about not voting in the next election ?

I am glad i wasn't one of 40 million person that government play game with them and use them as a means to achieve their own aim i didnt vote to any one in this elections because i was one of those 20 millions youth who vote to khatami in last elections what he really done for youth ? he won in last election with cheating and playing game with emotions of 20 millions youth . i am sure Mousavi or Karoubi or any other one of this government or system who win such a elections nothing do for people and nothing change in our country because the basis of our government , this systems ( laws and politics) are wrong .

The only thing that might change my mind about voting in the next election is that There wont be force to vote jsut to the persons who introduce and selected by government

my dear friend majid nothing would change with taking part in an election that the result of that was appear even before elections the only advantage of that was use 40 million persons as means to say that most of the people in our country confirm our government . how many time you heard 40 million people vote to confirm this government?i believe if no body take part in this elections without pouring any innocent blood you was able to say your word to all people in the world

why do you think changing a persident is so important when most of the laws in our country isnt fair a persident is only a person who just accomplishment of laws ( faghat mojri ghanon ast )when the basis of laws have so many deficiency what s the benefit of changing persident even if you choose the best one he just accomplish those wrong laws i am not agree with you about khatami though but if it be so this is because of deficiency in law

This is only politics game that pull people to vote again and again in this government with thinking some thing might change the next time , nothing will change in our country before we change our wrong laws and

Majid my dear friend glad to hear you are here to find some way to solve our problems a fews years ago there were few Iranian who take part in yahoo Q&A and discuss about our problems but i am happy to see today there are so many educated iranian youth like you and mandana and shervin bardia persian partisan persina x and many others who came to this site and discuss about our problems this is a very good start for a movment

I believe with association in the street for elections without planning that caused so many wounded and arrested people by government and so limitation like cutting off phones and block the most communication network by the government

It just will let to government people kill innocent people and with disappear of the ugliness of their act they will shape it legally. Our people should change the foundation of that.

From the day i remember our hopeless people has no way but to vote only one of the government selections even though they aren't agree with none of them well don't discriminate this elections they had no way but select one of these 4 person who introduce by the government there is no different between all of them i believe so you will hear this word from most of Iranian people Well anybody but him that's not because they know him or agree with him and his politics that's because of obstinacy . and what i have seen in my whole life is that most of the people against their desire just because of obstinacy vote or take part in elections I am really sorry for my country and our people.

I am not a civil expert but because of some problems in my life I had to study some civil books I found a lot s of contradictions in that so I shared that with some judges and civil experts. All of them told me our civil laws had a lots of contradictions because that's for thousand years ago ,don't you think as far as we have such a stupid laws changing president or other government people is helpless to solve our problem don't you think civil laws is the most important thing in a country ?Why should think changing a president is so important in our life as president is just a person in executive power don't you think whoever he is your president even if be a good person he will carry out those wrong civil laws ?Don't you think changing wrong civil is more important than changing a president ?

Agree that president is important in a country fate but as far as candidates will move in the same line (wrong civil laws) we always have the same problem

I think the only benefit of these elections was that people saw the real face of government and religious people in here and they found how much our media lie about events and other matters

Hopefully there will be positive change by the end of this situation Governments need to be put in check from time to time or else their abuse just escalates more and more. I wish the populations of all nations throughout the earth were a bit wiser in keeping their governments in check before they get out of control and start disrespecting us and the rights we were given at birth. I hope that whatever comes from all this that it turns out better for the Iranian people and nation.

Due to recent events , Almost Everyone agreed that the Election Was Rigged , And All of us are disappointed about our vote and Democracy in Iran , but can anything change it ? if yes what would it be and if no why can't anything change your mind ?

@ Mary : and I'm happy other 40,000,000 people that government played them didn't act like you , Cause If they hadn't participate in The Election , A.N ,A.K and others wouldn't have need to Rig the election . but with the rigged election now We are in this situation . I prefer to be in this situation .

and about what you said about imposed candidates , Would you name any country that everyone can be a Candidate for President ?

I'm not saying those 4 candidates are the best and can support all beliefs but we could change things with the good select . and khatami didn't play with emotions of 20 millions youth , he couldn't do anything . Read the history . ghatlhaye zanjireyi faghat bara sargarm kardane mano shoma nabud !

I will vote again and I'm totally agree with Amir

I don't think they stay like this for another 4 years,all of them have a problem with each other,

look,now A.N 's supporters are angry about his choice for his vice president and force him to change the guy but he doesn't accept,and he doesn't know who to choose for his cabinet and I'm sure anyone he'll choose will have some problems and Majles won't accept most of them.

I'm sure they will defeated till next 4 years.

I'm not going to make a taboo of voting or not voting, in fact I think it's not wise to say nothing will ever change my mind or what, for example during the election I remember some of Karroubi supporters were talking to a man (at his setad), they provided him 100s of reasons to vote yet he was saying "I would never vote even if God was a candidate" anyway, I would vote in any election, if I feel my vote will make even a bit of difference.

And I'm proud of voting in the 12th June election, I would vote in such elections again even though I already know that it will be rigged.

I think I'm not going to decide what I will do four years from now, until that time. I may vote again "if it prove fair weather"!!!

Maybe Trust easily reached but hardly recover . I guess the population will vote next election would be half quarter of present .

this is a nice question, all those who had vote in this election they did so for the reason that Ahmadinejad don't become the president for another 4 year, im pretty much sure they won't vote again, im sure they won't trust the government again, but another thing i hope for is that they won't last for another 4 year this government.

i hope there will be no next election... but i have to say, i had plan to not to vote in the last rigged election but now, i'm really happy that i shoot my chance and now i won't change my vote with anything in the world, and about the next election as you said... if we fail to get our current votes, Karoubi & Mousavi (reformists in general) will not be qualified by guardian council next time and... so i don't think i'm going to vote again if the current situation stay still for the next 4 years and next election...

@ Majid : about what you said to Mary... you know that we don't have any "real" party in our country..., did you see the election in America!? there were two parties (democrats and republicans) with about 5 or 6 candidates in both parties... they were competing with each other for almost a year and yes we can have anybody as a candidate from any party and as long as they can attract people to join them they can reach to the presidency, just like Barack Obama... so there is no need to any filter or guardian council like we have in Iran... i don't think that in the U.S or and other democratic societies they limit their people's choices for voting... but they let the candidates to express themselves and plans... of course there are always some Pre-Requirements for every thing like their education... a Perfect combination of Democracy and Geniocracy.

In the same situation and with the same control of the government over everything, NO I won't vote again.If I get my trust back and be sure that the same thing wouldn't happen I may change my mind.

Voting is an important part of the democratic process. So, off course i will vote again and again

This rigged election proved that we can not bring change by voting alone. Anyway they choose their own candidates and we were supposed to pick one. This time they even took that little freedom from us. We are not free.

No more voting for me.
