    Om Sri Sairam

If everthing in the Universe are different waves of the Selfsame Ocean, it could seem better for one to travel in the known waves rather than in unknown waves.

But then in the reverse arguement if all are God's own, one need not be more fearful or afraid to travel thru unknown waves than travelling in known waves.

Perhaps it is more dependent upon the tastes, interests and preferences of individual seekers.

Some like this world so passionately. Some may not have that much passion and some may not have any liking for this world at all.

Unknown things always made some men's mind inquisitive and prompted interesting journeys beyond their limits and revealed things unknown to them previously even benefiting the world at large sometimes. But not all men need to be adventurous enough to make some big sacrifices and get to a higher level like heaven fast.

Some like Yudhishtir in Mahabharath are said to be capable of making heaven in hell itself, evenwhen they are inside the mortal bodies. In the same epic it is said that even the pleasures enjoyed by a worm is as same as the sensory enjoyments of man. Wherever or whenever the key point seems to be the Contentment within of the Atmic Principle.

    Bhagavan Sri Sathyasai Baba says,

"Tell me your company and I shall tell you what you are. When you associate yourself with ephemeral things, the results also are bound to be so. You should develop friendship with Divinity, which alone is true and eternal. Divinity is very much present in you. The external world is subject to change. The world is nothing but a combination of matter. Everything in this world is transitory. Nothing is permanent. The unseen Atmic principle alone is true and eternal."

    Young One,

I have no fear of death and I do believe that I will be in Heaven at the appointed time. I do not want to leave my family at this time. I have been in constant pain for years and have finally been relieved of it about two weeks ago. I want to spend some more time with my family but when my appointed time comes, I am ready to leave this world. Have a great week!

    Thanks,

    Eds

Well even though Heaven is a paradise it is still scary to die. I mean you can only do it once and then your human life is over. Also most ways of death are very painful so that doesn't make it anymore pleasant.

Well some people want to die for example suicidal people. I'm not sure if they want to go to heaven or even believe in it.

well heaven is a fab place. everything is perfect and your with all your lost ones. it a place where your wrongs are forgiven and you can say sorry.

but some people are unsure if heaven exsists so don't to die and find out...thats it. nothing else. end.

and other don't want tot die because they don't want to see their familys hurt and sad. they may have things they wanted to do but never got to. maybe people to see. people that could be affected the most if they die. like a mother dieing and she leaves her husband with their 4 mouth old baby. that baby would have its birth mother to love it so.

i hope this answers your question.

It is most likely that with death, there is pain. Pain is something that I don't think anyone enjoys.

I also think there is a fear of leaving loved ones behind. Hoping that they will be ok. Hoping someone will take care of our children. Concern for our spouses.

It's hard to let go of the physical world when all that we have known is the physical world.

Not that nobody wants to die. But that nobody wants to talk like, "Hey after i die...." You can't do that. Instead of talking directly about death, speaking about heaven implies, 'after my death'. It's a sort of self euphemism I would say.

Death is a verifiable fact which even christians and other theists can't wish away. Heaven is less verifiable so people hedge their bets, but still fear the true unknown that death represents.

Nobody wants to die In fear that there is no heaven, and leaving your life on earth behind - but everyone wants to go to heaven as opposed to hell right?

    Good question btw.
