I have questions about mountain bikes?
1) I have a Murray It is expensive becasue they dont make them no more. It has a sticker on it saying not to use in competition. Do all bikes say that? I wanted to race in competitions with it.
2) Do tour de france bikers use mountain bikes.
3) Are Steel Frames common?

Your Murray is NOT expensive and like Bob said, its a dept store bike. Nothing at all expensive and the reason it has that sticker that says "not for competition use" means that all dept store bike have that same sticker and that is a disclaimer about the low quality of the bike. TDF riders will use a mtn bike but nothing like yours and certainly NOT in the TDF but more for personal use. Lance rides a Trek mountain bike, not sure about the others. Steel frames are neither rare or uncommon. Yours is of a low grade steel and other more expensive steel frames are still favored by some riders in both mtn and road bikes to this day but they are fewer than they were 15 years ago

no. all bikes dont say that. your bike is cheep and worthless.
TdF bikers might own a mountain bike, but its for fun, not for racing. mtn. bike racing is a whole diffrent animal.
nope. steel frames are rare. some people swear by them, but the ones they have are easily 2 grand. so, tough luck. Buy a trek.
