What Motocross dirt bike is right for me ?

I'm 32y old, 6'1 220lbs. And a Newbie I want to learn to ride.

I know that there are so many types like 125cc, 250cc, and a 450cc I would like to know which bike would be best for me. Thanks

Any of the known brand 250f bikes would be suitable. You would not want to go for the 125 as they would be harder to learn on and they are really not a bike of choice these days

As a beginner you want to stay away from most 2 strokes, the KTM 200 XC would be okay but no 2 stroke MX bikes. A 125 MX bike would be an even worse choice, especially for your size. A 450F is far too much for any beginner even considering your weight. If you will be trail riding go for the Yamaha WR250F or the Honda CRF250X just like Tyler said.

get a 250cc trail bike. If you think you will get good quick get a crf250x. Its a lot of power for a beginner but you wont get bored of it. If your worried about to much power look into the trailbike lines.. LIke crf230f or a ttr 230. If you dont want to spend money you can always buy some crappy thing off of the internet just to learn.

my 53 yr old dad rides our little 110cc along with my cousins in their 20's when they visit. sure they look funny but at the moment its the only bike we have. travis pastrana who is a pro is 6'2 and rides a 125cc at xgames. it seems to fit him. but then again he is a pro. i would go anywhere from a 125cc to a 250cc. go to a local dealer and sit on some bikes to get a size feel. i would go with a 4-stroke being a beginner. also dont fall for the $500 bike online. they are "chinese brand" bikes and are cheap becasue they are cheaply made and because they are cheaply made they are unpopular and have more problems. and due to low popularity new parts are hard to find. stick with yamaha, suzuki, kawisaki, and honda.
