Why would Kathleen Kennedy Townsend think Obama knows Gods wishes better than the Pope?
She is truly gone insane in her liberal fantasy. Putting Obama before Gods teachings. We are seeing the devil at work in our world. Is there anything these people hold sacred?

The church confronted a lot of people who hold nothing sacred. I've seen it under Communism. But, the political trend changed. slowly but surely it changed because the people's wish could only be suppressed for so long. In the end, Love and solidarity won!
In the US its different because what the people want is different from the position of the Church. But the opinion polls as you know changes with the wind. Obama is a politician, and he too is liable by a simple change in the breeze. And who is in charge of the breeze, who monitors the socioeconomic trends, of the prosperity of nations, if not God Himself.
God is in charge.
He carefully monitors the rise and fall of politicians and governments who lost their roots in Him, as he carefully monitors the fall of every leaf.
To turn a claim into prohecy: "Apart from me you can do nothing."
And who has the answer to the world's economic crisis if not Pope Benedict. http://www.zenit.org/article-26479?l=english ,
This very humble man who was prepared to endure all kinds of attacks against his personality and the teaching of the Church.
In this Passion time for the Church, this Age of Disobedience, this Pope was carefully selected by God himself, to endure the crown of thorns. Like Jesus did.
Will we American Catholics regret having been obedient to this humble man, the shadow of Christ on earth? Not me.

I'm sure he does. Obama sort of looks god-like and has a following much like gods do. As I recall, I think he has walked on water and raised a few people from the dead. And he went to church for a long time so I'm sure he found something in the bible that if a baby's head is still in the mother it doesn't have a soul yet, so that would explain his late term abortion stance. You know, sort of like culling the runt of a litter of dogs.
When most Presidents leave office they write their memoirs but I believe that Obama will write his bible so his followers will know how to lead their life. That's how good of a man or god he is.
As far as Kathleen Kennedy, she's related to Teddy Kennedy so it's genetic and expected. For instance, like me, I have an aunt that is crazy too.

Oh dear. Isn't it terrible what fear can do to a person. You and other Catholics are the only people who think that the Pope is the only one who is in touch with "God" and that his word is law.
I am not a Catholic - now, and look at the Pope as being - a man - and that is all. I do not see the "devil" at work, because I do not fear hell, damnation, the devil, anti-christ, demons, fiery pit, etc. etc. etc. Those of us who choose not to follow the Pope, are individuals who choose peace, love, compassion, understanding, acceptance, non-judgement, etc. in place of the hell and damnation that is taught by others.
President Obama is a man who is greatly admired by millions. The Pope is admired by Catholics who follow his word without question.
If the two were standing side by side and I was asked which one is the most peaceful, loving, intelligent, compassionate, non-judgemental man of the two - I would pick President Obama.
Since I do not believe in the devil etc/. your comments mean nothing to me, I just feel sorry for those of you who think this way.

I wonder about that too.
Her opinion piece in Time magazine entitled "Why Barack Obama represents American Catholics better than the pope does" was a great insult to Catholics worldwide.

With love in Christ.

I would guess that most non-Roman Catholics don't consider the Pope to know God's wishes better than anyone else.

The Devil is a mythological fictional character...
There are no invisible super beings in reality...
All the nasty work you see in the world is done by people of their own volition...
Evil cannot enter into anybody...it can only come out of them by their own thoughts and actions caused by them...
("The Devil Made Me Do It" is a VERY poor excuse for bad behavior, and is simply people's way of avoiding personal responsibility...)

All depend on the definition of God.
Some said Apollo was a God; some said Jesus was the God; and some said Satan is the God.
