First of you don't guess it's got a Realtek sound card you need to know. Check in device manager, it will tell you, and also if it has a problem or not. Trouble shooting is a logical process.
Check your manual to see that you have things plugged in correctly. If you don't have one you should find it on the CD's that came with the system. Failing that go to the manufacturers web site and download it.
If everything is plugged in correctly move on.
Check device manager to see if there is a problem with the device. If there is its probably a driver error or not installed. Reinstall the driver.
If all is well there then open the audio device control panel and check the settings, adjust them as required. I cant give you the settings as I have no idea what is installed.
One of these options should put things right.
If the problem persists then you may have missed something. The last possibility is that the sound device [Card or Integrated] has a fault. This is not very probable as it's a new system.
