Help! Gift ideas for German in-laws!?
I'm going to visit my in-laws in Germany (for the first time!!!) and really wanted to give them something nice!
I was thinking of giving them some of my home-made plum/apricot jam, along with wild honey from my own bees, but I have a feeling I can't bring food over there. (Isn't there a rule about bringing food to other countries??)
I know they don't drink, so I'm not going to give them wine. I really need some help here. I want to do something creative and thoughtful, but I really don't have any ideas. Plus I don't know much about German culture, and would hate to do/give something that would be awkward or incorrect...
PLEASE HELP ME!!!
Thank you!

An autographed picture of Adolf Hitler would be nice.

I have German in-laws too. Your original suggestion is lovely (and I think u can take a certain amount of food oversees as women with babies need to carry formula milk etc). I too have german in-laws and I bought them an english royal doulton ornament for their home. They loved it and put it in pride of place! Everyone likes a pretty ornament. U couldn't go wrong and they needn't cost much if u get them on e bay or second hand shops.
*would just like to apologise for the immature person above me*

It's possible that you could bring in your jam and honey, try looking up the regulations. I'm not really sure where to look but I would bet one of the airlines would have information.

u cud research their culture and c what is valuable to them. then bring it as long as it doesnt violate airline rules
or find out about their hobbies, interests, etc.
