Where can I find a place where I can adopt/buy German Shepherd Puppy in Brooklyn NY Area?
My baby of 18 years just passed away yesterday. Ironically, we made it to the vet just in time for her to "leave" on the table. She had an inoperable tumor and was 18 years old. Im looking for a German Shepherd specifically because thats what she was. Now no one can ever replace her memory, I can only replace the void she has left in my heart of her physical absence. The vet was actually surprised that she lived that long. I was only 4 when I got her. I am 22 now. So I guess thats good. Anyway I need some good places where I can adopt OR buy a puppy. I am using petfinder.com and the internet to look. The reason why I say puppy is because I have other little animals (3 small dogs, 2 chiuahuas and a pekingnese) around the house and I have a good handle with German sheps when it comes to training them. So I cant have an older dog killing my other little ones and the older ones are harder to train (I know from personal experience). Hence why I prefer a puppy. Please post links/advice/anything that you think is helpful.

Click http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/The_GSD_Source.
Add it to your browser's Bookmarks or Favorites so that you can later look up all sorts of things about dogs and especially about GSDs.
Once the address is in your browser,
click Links
click Rescue Groups
click United States of America
click New York, and work from there.
So that you can ask your other questions about GSDs, join some of the 400+ YahooGroups dedicated to various aspects of living with GSDs; most also let you post pics of your pet as it grows up. Each group's Home page tells you what they like to talk about, and how active they are.
