what are the food items allowed in flight to UK?

I am from India and going Leeds University for B.Eng course.On the flight what are the food items I can take along with me.Can I take cereals,chutneys,tamarind,flours and other such groceries

    As far as i know none are permitted past the boarder but im pretty sure you can have any on the flight as long as it is disposed of on the plane itself and not taken through quarantine.
