Health Care bill mandates periodic "end of life counseling" for elderly. Will Obama appoint Dr. Kevorkian as?

Geriatric Czar?

Since the average American spends 90% of all the money he will spend in his lifetime (for health care) during the last two years of his life, such an attitude will greatly cut costs for the Government's "health care" plan. - AND you can't sue the Government for malpractice or denial of services! - That too is written into the bill.

The bill does no such thing. This particular portion of the bill amends the current Medicare program to allow people to schedule free counseling services to explain things like "living wills," "advanced medical directives," and Power of Attorney and how they can be used to make sure you get the medical care you desire. (The same thing you would often get if you sat down with an attorney who specialized in estate planning.) The "counselors" are also required to explain alternative care sources like Hospice care and th like that are available through Medicare.

Source(s): My information is derived from actually reading the damned bill, not just listening to idiots/liars like Hannity and Limbaugh. This amendment to Medicare is on pages 426-431 of the House Bill, which is available online.

He won't have to. Sadly many seniors will probably be looking to stick their heads in the oven rather than live 6 months more under Obama's tyranny.

  • No. Kevorkian actually knows some medical stuff and is therefore disqualified under Democrat rules.

Too bad we cant mandate "end of political career" for Congressmen.

Got a section of bill you can quote that says that? Or are you just spouting today's talking point from Rush?

So when I get old, the government will "counsel" me into what? offing myself before I become a burden? No, thank you.
