Any body know the choke plate adjustment for a Ford F 250 carborator?
It's a 1986 with 52K mi's It has a 460 engine with the Holly duel throat carburetor. Preferably starting with a cold engine.
Forgot to mention it's a 4 barrel

Your choke cover will have an index mark which you can line up with the corresponding mark on the choke housing - from this initial adjustment, you can fine tune the choke either a notch or two rich or lean depending on how it reacts when cold.
Don't forget to also set the fast idle speed on the choke cam and check the operation of the choke pull off on initial cold start.

if you have the old style Holley 2 barrel, loosen the holding screws, then hold the throttle linkage open while you rotate the round black housing counterclockwise till the plate closes. Then check the hot setting for full open...
