Cities or countries some time have common ending like "land" in Scotland, Finland etc. Whoever lists them (but not repeat), will get my vote. Here are some I can think of

Other common suffixes include:
-ingham (Framingham, Birmingham)
-wich (Norwich, Sandwich)
-folk (Suffolk, Norfolk)
-thorpe (Westhorpe, Oglethorpe)
-mouth (Plymouth, Bournemouth)
-don (London, Herndon)
-sex (Sussex, Middlesex)
-port (Newport, Shreveport)
-chester (Dorchester, Winchester)
-toft (Lowestoft, Stowlangtoft)
-bury (Canterbury, Waterbury)
-y (Germany, Italy, Normandy)

I believe that last one is generally either spelled "borough" or "boro", by the way.
To your list, I would add "field" and "dale". The French "ville" is fairly common as well, at least here in the US.
