How do you feel about Obama's Health Care reform?
Now before you answer did you know that the bill to reform Health Care (Kennedy bill and H.R. 3200) would include abortion access. These bills would add abortion to nearly all health care plans, even yours, whether you're Pro-Life or not. It would also force local health networks to recruit abortionists, and it would nullify many state abortion laws. Many of these things were present in the bill FOCA, which thankfully wasn't passed. However, there are being snuck into the Health Care reform. The only way to prevent this is if Congress specifically EXCLUDES abortion from the bill. For this to happen we will have to speak up. You can do so by signing a pre-written letter to congress at http://www.capwiz.com/nrlc/issues/alert/?alertid=1... or calling at 202-224-3121 and telling them that you want abortion to be explicitly excluded in any health care reform bill.
So how do you feel about the Health Care reform?

I think that we need to make health care available to all, but what this congress is working on is worse than doing nothing.
I object to it for the following reasons:
1. A major cost to our health insurance is paying for the doctor's malpractice insurance. The Obama Health Care reform is trying to reduce costs but is doing nothing to reform malpractice litigation.
2. It will be too expensive. We are in a recession and this is no time to see if this expensive, grand, experiment has merit. Lets see if Obama's plans to fix the economy will work first.
3. I think a universal health care program needs to fix health insurance first, then see about covering the ones who slip through the cracks. The current plan will destroy many (if not all) health care insurance companies.
4. It will use public taxes to pay for abortion. I can't support that.
5. It will not provide better health care for the average American. The average American will find it harder to receive health care. There will be rationing of health care!
6. The whole program stinks so bad, congress will make themselves exempt from the program. Congress will have their own health care program, just for themselves.

I think everyone can agree that we need to reform healthcare. The problem is that for any wide spanning program the government puts in place right now, it will be funded by national debt. Abortion is a form of healthcare and until it is abolished in its entirety, it will be in one way or the other covered by any general healthcare plan. Like it or not, that is simply the reality of the situation.

I don't want them to exclude abortions, in some cases it's even medically necessary. Current medical insurance covers circumcision, that's mutilation and child abuse yet no one gets excited about that.
Other than that I don't like where the health care bill is headed, it doesn't go far enough and it's not single-payer.

It is socialist bullshit, if this passes, it is the beginning of the end. He will keep injecting socialism into our society and our government until we wake up and realizes this is socialism. CANADA! Does anyone not see what is happening in canada? Picture this. You fall and break your arm. There will be no emergency room, you'll just have to wait a day or a week until you can be gotten to. This is bullshit, Socialism.

Abortion is health care. I have no problem with it.
I will call that number and tell them I think it is A-OK to cover abortions.

Socialized health care is great if you need a band aid or aspirin, but you are screwed if something serious happens to you.

abortion should not be covered. those little 13-16 year olds that wanna get pregnent they should pay to undo what they tought would be a night of fun. It gives them an excuse to go and get nailed without having a second tought. HERE COMES DAH BABIE TSUNAMI!

Not progressive enough. Make health care a protection like millitary, fire, police. etc.
