The best laptop for you will depend on what you need from it. Do you do word processing? Development? Audio/Video editing? Simple web browsing? Watching HD movies? Figure that part out first, then you can consider things like price range.

Your usage will define your required hardware. i.e. gaming, no gaming...
Tell the salesperson what you are going to do with it and they should give you proper guidance.
