Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

Would this be a good idea?

I think it would be cool if you could X out questions that you have already decided not to read in all of Y! answers. Like, the same way that you can X out the recommended questions that aren't interesting to you. Thoughts?

The problem is the overhead. There are millions of members and questions. There is no way to try to flag everything and not slow the system down.

Eh maybe but remember the recommended questions are for you only the list of questions is permanent yahoo answers even ha trouble getting rid of deleted questions. Maybe but they would have to do a complete overhaul of the site to do that. Which they rarely do and it causes more trouble than it was worth.
