can you suspend cobra payments for 6 months and then continue them?

am in month 2 of Cobra insurance. Leaving the country for 6 months where I will have separate insurance. When I get back in 6 months, I'd like to continue my cobra coverage. Can this be done?

    nope. once you stop payment, you cannot be reinstated.
