Will Windows Vista Work Good On My Computer?
I want to get windows vista on my computer will it work good?I have
2.80GHz 2.79 GHz, 1.50 GB of RAM
Thats what it says on my System Properties
and it says Intel(R) and Pentium(R) and 4 CPU
and its Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3

You don't have sufficient resources to run Vista adequately. You need more RAM and a faster pentium.
But if you do proceed you need to check to make sure your Mother Board will upgrade to Vista. Your board may have a BIOS upgrade that will update it for Vista, or, depending on the board, it may be too outdated to upgrade. That requires you going to the manufacturer's website and searching for BIOS updates available for your particular board.
Next thing you'll need to do is to download drivers to run Vista for your software programs and hardware devices (like printers, scanners, cameras, and so forth)

avoid it until windows 7 comes out in september that way you can upgrade to windows 7 for the same price as vista or if you still want vista the price will half so just wait a few months and you'll get a better deal

if you're going to upgrade to anything, get windows 7, vista is slower than windows 7 by far, also xp is faster than vista anyway. if you're wanting to speed up your pc then consider a RAM upgrade or new, faster rpm hard drive. but if you're set on OS upgrade then go for windows 7 NOT vista.
