What is the new Nintendo DSi like?

The difference is the battery the style and the ds menu.

DS lite is just like the old ds but with a new look

DSi has a camera (you can edit and add soem stuff to your photos too), its slightly smaller, stains less than the light, has a menu just like the wii, has a game shop just like the wii were you can get stuff for dsi points, it has a internet broswer, and has a sd card slot so you can store photos and music plus games you download. The screens are slightly bigger also for better gameplay.

The cons of the dsi are it has no gameboy advance game slot

The battery lasts less than that of the DS lite

The DSi has two built in cameras, one for taking pictures, and one for games that incorporate it. However, there are currently no games that incorporate the camera out in America right now. It has an SD card slot, which allows you to store pictures, and play MP3 audio files on your DSi. It also has an online shop function, similar to the Wii Shop Channel. The only downside is that there is no more GBA slot due to size reduction. Yes, that means no more Guitar Hero. So for right now, you can still play your regular DS games on it, but Guitar Hero and the Pokemon Diamond/Pearl/Platinum migrating features will not work.

For more information, I suggest trying to decipher the Japanese version of Nintendo.com. They tend to have games before they come out in America.

the dsi u can not play gba games but it makes up for with the ability 2 remove ds games safely while still on. on the others ds systems if u did that the ds freezes up
