How often should I wash my makeup brushes?
I just got a wash from MAC. I use bare essentials mineral makeup with the brushes that came in the starter kit. They feel new again! How often should I do this? Thank you! 10 points best answer!

Whenever they get streaky or have too much excess left over makeup. You can clean them using baby shampoo, it works great!

Wash them 3 times a month the ingreediants you will need; fairy washing up liquid- for getting of any left over makeup/bacteria olive oil- as the fairy washing up liquid is going to be stripping the hairs put olive oil on to contition (this will make your brushes soooo smooth!!) and if you dont basiclly it is putting all the bacteria, germs, left over make up back on your face. It can cause break out of spots, acne or even skin irritation-causing rashes.

I know it's a pain, but rinse them out after each use, then deep clean them once a week. Do it at night so they'll have time to air dry overnight, and be fresh for you in the morning. If you stick to this, it'll also reduce any acne that may pop up, because you'll be getting rid of excess oil build up that lurks in the brushes.

You should try to wash them after every use, but if you can't, make sure you cleanse your eye-shadow brushes every day while you have your face brushes deep-cleanse with baby shampoo every week.
When you deep-cleanse your brushes, clean ALL of them because it does take a long process if you don't do it all at one take.

i would say deep clean them once a week and spot clean them after ever use.
deep clean - clean with water and brush cleaner
spot clean - clean with brush cleaner
this is recommended with the brush cleanser from MAC
HTH! :D

every day, or every couple days depending on what types of products your using. cream products you really need to wash everyday, as well as liquid products. powder products you can wash every 2 or 3 days.
